Colossus Drive extension, across Highway 400

The new road would create an important crossing over Highway 400, making it easier to travel between the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre and the Weston Road and Highway 7 area.

As part of the study, the City will review different route options for the road and examine how each could impact traffic, the environment, the community and more.

Attend an Open House on Wednesday, June 17 to learn more about the project, the study process, options to extend Colossus Drive and speak directly to the project team. Here are the details:

• Location: Chancellor Community Centre (350 Ansley Grove Rd.)
• Time: Any time from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This Open House will help guide the City’s planning process for the Colossus Drive extension. A second Open House will be held later this year to present preliminary plans and gather additional community feedback.

Can’t attend in person? No problem. Materials from the Open House and an online comment form will be available on this webpage from Wednesday, June 17 to Monday, July 6. 

Study area

The study area includes the land on both sides of Highway 400, between Highway 7 and Highway 407. It includes Colossus Drive to the west and Interchange Way to the east, as well as adjacent properties and road connections, as shown in the map below. The study area has been defined to allow consideration of planning and design alternatives, traffic operations and integration with surrounding land uses and planned developments.
