Cathy Fersili Vaughan Civic Hero Award

Cathy Ferlisi, a resident of Ward 4, was recognized with the Civic Hero Award for being involved with a number of social causes.

Cathy is past president of the Concord West Ratepayers' Association and is involved in church groups and Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic School PTA. She also participated in the 2005 Communities in Bloom program.

 

Ms. Ferlisi facilitated the Wellness Fair in Maple and coordinated efforts between the health care community and the City in helping to organize blood donor clinics and other activities. She has also helped to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House, the Terry Fox Run 2005 and the War Amps of Canada.

 

"Cathy Ferlisi is an invaluable asset to the City of Vaughan," said Ward 4 Councillor Sandra Yeung Racco. "She is a proud resident and it is for her achievements and so many other reasons that she is so deserving of the Civic Hero Award 2005."
