Sewer Use By-law
The City of Vaughan’s Sewer Use By-law regulates discharges into the sanitary and storm sewer with defined limits for substances such as pH, Fat, Oil, and Grease (FOG), suspended solids, etc. The By-law was created to protect the public, environment, infrastructure, property, and municipal staff.
The By-law was updated in 2016 due to Vaughan’s growing population and growing industry. Please see below for the updated By-law and additional related resources.
