Official Plan and Official Plan Amendments
Official Plans and Official Plan Amendments (OPA) are the City's guide and policies for the long-term development of the municipality.
The City's various OPAs can be found below, sorted by OPA number. The City of Vaughan also has completed a new Official Plan (Vaughan Official Plan 2010) that was adopted by City of Vaughan Council on September 7, 2010, (as modified on September 27, 2011, March 20, 2012 and April 17, 2012), and is awaiting approval from the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) before it becomes in full force and effect. The new Official Plan represents the comprehensive planning policy of City of Vaughan Council with respect to the future development of the City. When approved, the new Official Plan will supercede the existing Official Plan, Community and Employment Area Plans.
