Community Celebrates Official Opening of Mill Race Park

Members of Council and residents gathered on Thursday, Aug. 28 for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open Mill Race Park. This is the sixth park opening in 2014 which adds more than 11 hectares (27.18 acres) of new parkland for Vaughan residents to enjoy.
 
Mill Race Park is in Ward 4 and features accessible playgrounds, a double tennis court, a full basketball court and a nine-versus-nine soccer field.
The park is at 310 Thomas Cook Ave., north of Rutherford Road, between Dufferin and Bathurst streets.
