Erika Widing Vaughan Civic Hero Award
Vaughan Council presented the City's Civic Hero Award to Erika Wilding in 2006 for her involvement with a variety of social causes.

Ms. Wilding, a Ward 2 resident and seniors' group volunteer, was recognized for her commitment to maintaining the beauty of the Woodbridge streetscape and ongoing communication with her local councillor, providing feedback on a variety of issues.
"As Councillors, we rely to a large extent on the eyes and ears of our constituents to report events to us and Erika Wilding is a concerned, active resident and an invaluable asset to our City," said Ward 2 Councillor Tony Carella. "Her involvement in civic matters and her achievements make her a deserving recipient of the Civic Hero Award."
