Office of the City Manager

The City Manager is appointed by Vaughan Council to ensure their decisions and policy direction are effectively implemented in support of a progressive vision of building a City of Choice that promotes diversity, innovation and opportunities for all citizens.

As the head of the administration, the City Manager provides leadership to the organization to:

  • drive the economic prosperity of the city
  • pursue service excellence in governance and fiscal responsibility
  • engage staff and create a positive work environment
  • ensure exceptional end-to-end citizen-centered services

 

The Office of the City Manager is supported in these tasks by a professional and dedicated staff. At the senior level, there is the Senior Leadership Team – Executive, working collaboratively to deliver on Council-approved priorities and initiatives.
