We’re committed to keeping you moving – that’s why we’re extending two roads in the Yonge-Steeles corridor.

This bustling Ward 5 community is evolving with the vision to become an attractive, transit-oriented, sustainable urban environment, and as it continues to grow, the City of Vaughan is managing its development. To improve connectivity within the area, provide options for active transportation and support transit initiatives, we’re completing the Yonge-Steeles Corridor Collector Roads Environmental Assessment Study to extend the following two roads:

  • Royal Palm Drive, from Hilda Avenue to Yonge Street
  • Powell Road, from Pinewood Drive to Steeles Avenue West

The study will determine a plan and preliminary design for the road extensions, identify any impacts to local properties, assess factors like noise, air quality and traffic measures, and more.
