Celebrate with us on June 12

There’s a new place to play in Vaughan! The City of Vaughan is officially opening the first phase of Edgeley Park in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) – and you’re invited to come check it out!

This new Ward 4 park is located in Vaughan’s downtown core at 300 Maplecrete Rd. and is the first public park to open in the VMC. It offers a winter skating loop, splashpad and unique playgrounds. There are also benches, trees for shade and a pavilion with accessible restrooms, a community-use room for events and a Zamboni garage.

To celebrate this exciting new community space, join us on Wednesday, June 12 at 5:30 p.m. for a ribbon-cutting ceremony that will include official remarks from Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council, an interactive DJ and free ice cream.

Get the full play-by-play at vaughan.ca/events, and visit vaughan.ca/parks to learn more about Vaughan’s other parks and their amenities.

After the park opening, stay in the VMC for the Vaughan Celebrates Concerts in the Park launch event in Transit Square (100 New Park Place)! Beginning at 7:30 p.m., this free concert will feature Taylor’s Story – Tribute to Taylor Swift. Visit vaughan.ca/concerts for details.
