More parks have opened in Vaughan!
Vaughan residents can now get their play on at new parks throughout the
community! Tonight, official opening celebrations were held for Cannes Park and
Steeles West Common. The events featured ribbon-cutting ceremonies, official
remarks from Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council, on-site interactive
DJs and free ice cream. Thank you to everyone who joined in on the fun.
Whether it be sliding, swinging, climbing or crawling, the new parks offer plenty of space to run around, gather and play. Learn more about the parks below:
CANNES PARK
Location: 100 Cannes Ave.
New features: Play features include a large junior and senior playground area, two tennis courts, a gazebo, lighting and walkways connecting to existing open space and trails.
STEELES WEST COMMON
Location: 5380 Steeles Ave. W.
New features: This urban park includes one playground area for both junior and senior children, a shade structure, site furnishings, seating areas, open green space, walkways and lighting.
In addition to these parks, residents can now #PlayVaughanLocal at several others that have also been recently enhanced or constructed. These include Marco Park, Kiloran Park, Napa Valley Park and the Lawford-Cannes Greenway.
