Planning your trip to Vaughan just got easier with the new and improved visitvaughan.ca
Sept. 27 is World Tourism Day – the perfect time to check out Tourism Vaughan’s website: visitvaughan.ca. It’s a one-stop shop for visitors to plan a memorable trip to this vibrant city – and the website just got a major upgrade!
Here are some of the exciting new tools and features now available on the recently refreshed Visit Vaughan:
Favourited listings
This newly integrated feature allows prospective trip planners to bookmark their favourite businesses and events listed within the directories, including key points of interest and places to stay. Favourited selections are temporarily stored and can be used in the newly created Plan Your Visit and My Stay pages for ease in itinerary building.
Plan Your Visit page
The Plan Your Visit page offers users a dedicated space for building an itinerary around specific locations or areas of interest. All visitvaughan.ca business and event listings include a mapping feature to allow trip planners to see what they want to do and where those activities take place. Listings can also be searched by name or category, while favourited listings appear at the top of the planner tool for seamless navigation.
My Stay page
This new landing page houses and maps out favourited listings only. The My Stay tool can be revisited to make trip planning and navigating a breeze. It can also be downloaded as a PDF file, printed out, and emailed to organizers and their peers for them to view and share ahead of a visit to the city.
Other features were enhanced as part of the recent refresh to ease the customer journey and make finding related products, services and experiences easier. This includes more defined categories for things to do and areas of interest, making it easier to find related itineraries and blogs and offering the user a curated selection of recommendations.
