What’s your vision for North Maple Regional Park?
Help us plan the future North Maple Regional Park (NMRP)! While some areas and amenities are now open to the public, the City of Vaughan is looking to develop the full 900-acre site – and you can have a say.
Through the NMRP Master Plan, a long-term development, programming and management plan will be created. It’ll focus on three key pillars – restore, engage, play – and include activities for restoring nature, opportunities to build community, and providing spaces for active living and play.
What’s your vision for NMRP? Here’s how you can get involved in the NMRP Master Plan process:
Take the survey
Until Sunday, Oct. 6, take an online survey to learn more about the NMRP Master Plan process, review feedback received from previous engagement opportunities and share additional thoughts.
Sign up for workshops
We’re hosting three in-person workshops at the Maple Community Centre (10190 Keele St.), each focusing on one of three key pillars to develop NMRP – restore, engage and play. You’ll learn more about the project, work completed to date and share your vision for the park, according to the workshop topic. A series of interactive activities will also take place. Here is the schedule:
- RESTORE: Thursday, Sept. 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- ENGAGE: Saturday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to noon
- PLAY: Saturday, Sept. 21 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Spots are limited. Sign up for a session today!
All feedback received will help confirm the direction for future park development! Learn more at vaughan.ca/NMRP.
Be sure to check the project webpage frequently as more community events and engagement opportunities will be hosted later this year!
