What is Project NextGen?

Project NextGen is an employment skills development program offered by the City of Vaughan and funded by the Ontario Government EnAbling Change Program. This initiative is designed to prepare youth and young adults with disabilities for meaningful employment in recreational roles.

Why choose Project NextGen?

  • Gain practical skills through hands-on training.
  • Build job readiness in a supportive, inclusive environment.
  • Enhance employment prospects in the recreation sector.
  • Unlock the opportunity for an eight-week placement at a Vaughan community centre upon program completion.

Why it matters
This isn’t your average employment program. Project NextGen offers:

  • specialized tools and resources tailored to individuals with disabilities.
  • a focus on recreation roles, a sector often overlooked for this demographic.
  • hands-on training and accommodations that empower participants to succeed.
