City-wide snow plowing underway

After seven
salting operations of all City of Vaughan streets, followed by unexpected low
temperatures, Public Works staff have begun city-wide snow plowing. Windrow
services will follow. Residents and businesses are reminded to be cautious
around snow plows and ensure cars are not parked on the road.
The City of
Vaughan’s main concern remains the safety of residents. Since the onset of our
operations, weather conditions continuously shift between ice pellets, snow,
sleet, freezing rain and rain, which is making the effectiveness of operations
challenging to tackle with the unprecedented and unpredictable weather.
Staff
continue to monitor weather forecasts and make the necessary decisions and
