Do You Know an Outstanding Volunteer?

Nominate Him or Her for a Vaughan Volunteer Recognition Award

Volunteers are the lifeblood of a community. Volunteering is the ultimate form of public service, and the contributions of volunteers help to make the world a better place. In support of National Volunteer Week in April, the City of Vaughan will recognize and celebrate the vital impact and essential contribution of volunteers in our community.

Non-profit organizations and community groups are invited to nominate their most outstanding volunteer of 2014 for a City of Vaughan Volunteer Recognition Award. The nominee or the nominating organization must be located in Vaughan. Each organization or group may nominate one volunteer — either a youth between 13 and 24 years or an adult 25 years or older — who has demonstrated an exceptional display of volunteerism. The deadline for submitting nominations is Friday, March 27. Volunteers will be recognized during a special ceremony held at Vaughan City Hall on Thursday, April 16.
