Emergencies happen. Stay informed.
May 3 marks the
beginning of Emergency Preparedness Week
The global COVID-19 pandemic has proven that emergencies can happen
anywhere and at any time. Prevention and preparation are essential. Today marks
the beginning of Emergency Preparedness Week, and the City of Vaughan continues
to implement measures to support and protect citizens.
On
March 17, Vaughan became the first city in Ontario to declare a state of
emergency in response to COVID-19. The City continues to work closely with all
levels of government to find ways to support the community and deliver
up-to-date and accurate information about the pandemic and the resources
available to residents and businesses.
There
are many places citizens can visit for current information about what is
happening, what steps should be taken to protect themselves and how to access the
resources they need.
