Enjoy Vaughan’s reopened park amenities!

With the hint of warmer weather in the air, spring is the perfect time to enjoy a new adventure in Vaughan! The City of Vaughan has many amazing park amenities already open for the season and more reopening soon.

The following park amenities are open now, weather permitting:

  • outdoor fitness equipment
  • playgrounds
  • skateboard parks
  • synthetic soccer fields
  • tennis courts – lights operational as of Monday, April 4

The off-leash dog park at 299 Racco Pkwy. remains open to the public all year so you can continue to explore nature with your furry friends at any time. Vaughan’s cycling and multi-use recreational trails network, consisting of cycle tracks, bike lanes, multi-use pathways and multi-use recreational trails, remain ready to explore this spring as well. When hiking or cycling, please remember to do so according to the conditions. This means dressing for the weather, wearing reflective gear and ensuring your bike is equipped with proper lighting if cycling. Learn more at vaughan.ca/trails and vaughan.ca/cycling.

Upcoming park amenities reopening

There are even more City park amenities reopening soon to look forward to, weather permitting:

  • baseball diamonds – Monday, May 2
  • basketball courts – Friday, April 15
  • bocce courts – Monday, April 4
  • natural soccer fields – Monday, May 2
  • volleyball courts – Monday, May 2

Please note, all sports facilities are available for recreational use when they are not in use by a permit holder.

It’s important that everyone does their part to help keep parks clean – by putting trash where it belongs. Dispose of your items in the waste and recycling bins provided by the City in public spaces.
