Help make the Lawford Road area safer
Do you live in the Lawford Road area? Help shape your neighbourhood! The City of Vaughan is conducting a traffic study to identify additional road safety opportunities for all road users in the Lawford Road and the surrounding area, and you’re encouraged to get involved.
The study area includes Lawford Road, Stanton Avenue, Chatfield Drive and Poetry Drive along with associated local roads, such as Sedgewick Place and Farooq Boulevard, that directly connect to these roads. It also includes Guardian Angels Catholic Elementary School, Johnny Lombardi Public Elementary School and Tommy Douglas Secondary School.
There are many ways to get involved:
Complete a survey
Take an online survey to share your feedback on the potential traffic and safety solutions and improvements proposed for the Lawford area. It will take about six minutes to complete and closes on Monday, Sept. 11.
Attend an in-person open house
The project team is hosting an open house on Tuesday, Sept. 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Tommy Douglas Secondary School (4020 Major Mackenzie Dr.). The project team will give a presentation at 6:30 p.m. and a Q and A session will follow. However, you are encouraged to drop by anytime between 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Registration is encouraged.
Email your comments
You can also share your feedback on the proposed design solutions by emailing lawfordstudy@cima.ca by Tuesday, Sept. 19.
Review the Phase 1 presentation slides
Thank you to everyone who participated in consultations during Phase 1. If you were unable to attend the virtual information session on June 15, you can review the presentation slides (PDF) online.
