Share your experience in the City’s engagement feedback survey

Did you recently participate in a City of Vaughan survey, virtual open house or another engagement opportunity? How did you participate? Were you sufficiently informed before participating? Did you feel listened to? Rate your experience by taking a short online survey by Sunday, Dec. 18. Your feedback will help us continuously improve our consultation practices to ensure it’s easy to participate and you have a voice in City decision-making.

Since the City launched its Stakeholder and Community Engagement Policy in early 2021, more than 70 city-building engagement campaigns have been delivered to consult and collaborate with residents and stakeholders on City projects and initiatives. More than 9,200 people have participated by taking surveys, attending workshops or sharing feedback online through the City’s digital engagement platform. As consultation opportunities continue into next year, the City’s Engagement Feedback Survey will help us identify opportunities for continuously enhancing access to consultations and the overall experience.

The survey only takes approximately five minutes to complete and the feedback collected is anonymous. Results from the survey will:

  • ensure those who live, work and play in Vaughan continue to meaningfully engage in Vaughan’s city-building process.
  • help inform future engagement strategies to reach and solicit input from Vaughan’s diverse citizens, businesses and stakeholders.
  • gauge the success of the Have Your Say platform, as well as other engagement methods used by City staff, helping to understand if these methods and tools resonate with the Vaughan community.
  • support ongoing evaluation and benchmarking of the City’s engagement policy, framework and practices.

The City understands that public consultation is a vital part of the city-building process. That’s why teams across the City work to provide opportunities for citizens to share their ideas and add their voices to conversations on municipal matters. Input collected is used to help inform decision-making and shape the future of Vaughan. Whether you attend a public meeting, take an online survey, participate in a workshop, or voice your opinions to staff or Mayor and Members of Council, your feedback helps identify community needs and priorities as services and programs are continuously enhanced.
