Mayor Bevilacqua’s Statement on Resignation of Deputy Mayor
Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua has issued the following statement in
response to the resignation of Deputy Mayor and Regional Councillor Michael Di
Biase.
“Today
Regional Councillor and Deputy Mayor Michael Di Biase tendered his resignation
from his role on Council effective Friday, May 19. I accept the Deputy Mayor’s decision
to step down. As a Council, it is our responsibility to champion the values of
accountability, transparency and respect. As we move forward, we will continue
to advance a culture of excellence in governance rooted in integrity.”
