NEW artificial turf field opening at Vaughan Grove Sports Park
Celebrate with us at a family-friendly event on May 28
The City of Vaughan is unveiling a new artificial turf field at Vaughan Grove Sports Park (7401 Martin Grove Rd.) – and you’re invited to join us for the opening event on Tuesday, May 28 at 5 p.m.!
The Ward 2 park now features a new artificial turf field that meets FIFA standards, new fencing and goal backstops, enhanced field drainage and site grading, new walkway connections, a digital sign board, benches and shelters.
The family-friendly event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, official remarks from Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council, an interactive DJ and refreshments. So, come on out and have some fun! Get the full play-by-play at vaughan.ca/events.
In addition to Vaughan Grove Sports Park, the City has done some upgrades at Sonoma Heights Park (100 Sunset Ridge), which included replacing the existing artificial turf field, adding new goal posts and a solar scoreboard, and improving the park’s drainage system.
