Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua issued the following statement to recognize the City’s Corporate and Strategic Communications department for receiving 10 MarCom Awards in 2019:

“I want to congratulate the City of Vaughan’s Corporate and Strategic Communications (CSC) department for receiving 10 MarCom Awards, of which three are platinum awards, and three are gold awards.

“The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes the outstanding achievements by marketing and communication professionals from more than 25 countries. Judges look for organizations and individuals whose talents exceed a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark in the industry.

“I want to recognize our CSC staff for their dedicated efforts and strategic approach to marketing and customer satisfaction. This group of devoted, hardworking professionals is telling Vaughan’s story through the many important initiatives we are championing together.

“From the execution of communications campaigns and citizen engagement tactics to the production of video, photography and graphic design, intergovernmental relations advocacy efforts and storytelling through media relations and social media; this team is capturing the voice of our great city and expressing it in a way that our diverse and multi-lingual citizens can digest, engage in and celebrate.

“Our residents rely on focused, clear and concise communications about the many city-building achievements in Vaughan and this group is delivering that in strides. By prioritizing the citizen experience, optimizing operational performance and championing staff engagement, this department is instrumental in positioning Vaughan as a world-class city. I extend my sincere appreciation to staff for their hard work and dedication to service excellence.”
