QUOTE

“Throughout Vaughan’s 2021 Small Business Week virtual event, we will celebrate our hard-working business community and their remarkable ability to pivot and adapt their businesses amid the global pandemic. We are on this journey together, and I want to thank all our local entrepreneurs and business owners for demonstrating strength, resiliency and exceptional citizenship. Their commitment to these values sets Vaughan apart as a city of choice. This week, participants will learn more about the supports and resources available to local entrepreneurs and small business owners and ways to overcome the universal challenges presented by COVID-19. Vaughan is stronger than ever. Our city is home to more than 19,000 businesses that employ more than 225,000 people. Small business remains the backbone of Vaughan’s thriving economy – representing more than 80 per cent of all local job creators. The City remains committed to supporting our small business community because our strength lies in their success. I want to extend my best wishes to Vaughan’s business community as we celebrate Small Business Week. Thank you for making Vaughan the place to be!”
