Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Electric vehicles (EVs) are growing in demand – and the City of Vaughan is on board for the ride.

We’ve added additional EV charging stations at select City facilities across the community that are available for public use!

Currently, there are nine charging stations offering 18 connections across the following locations:

  • Civic Centre Resource Library (2191 Major Mackenzie Dr.)
  • Bathurst Clark Resource Library (900 Clark Ave. W.)
  • Joint Operations Centre (2800 Rutherford Rd.)
  • Pierre Berton Heritage Centre (10418 Islington Ave.)
  • Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.)

These locations have Level 2 FLO- EV Chargers for a fast, reliable charge. The charging fee is $2 per hour for the first four hours, then $3.50 per hour thereafter. Download an EV charging app to your smartphone to register and pay per use. You can also use the app to search for a nearby location, read hook-up tips and more.

Future EV charging stations

Next year, we plan to add an additional 23 charging stations with 46 connections across the following locations:

  • Al Palladini Community Centre (9201 Islington Ave.)
  • Carrville Community Centre, Library and District Park (655 Thomas Cook Ave.)
  • Vaughan Fire and Rescue Service (VFRS) Fire Station 7-1 (835 Clark Ave.)
  • VFRS Fire Station 7-2 (9290 Keele St.)
  • VFRS Fire Station 7-12 (9511 Weston Rd.) *coming soon*
  • Joint Operations Centre Yard (2800 Rutherford Rd.)
  • Maple Community Centre and Library (10190 Keele St.)
  • Vellore Village Community Centre and Library (1 Villa Royale Ave.)

Providing access to EV charging stations encourages sustainable transportation, reduces noise pollution and emissions, and mitigates the impacts of climate change.
