Project timeline

  • 2019: Design consultants retained, pre-design begins 
  • 2019: Preliminary design 
  • 2020: Detailed design - community engagement 
  • 2021-2022: Construction 
  • 2023: Community centre partially open!
  • 2024: Pool opens!

 

Construction Progress

July 2024

  • Pool has opened for public use
  • Pool hot tub is undergoing equipment repairs and is temporarily offline
  • Fire alarm system testing has been completed and passed inspection
  • Ongoing general construction deficiencies are being addressed
  • New Arena pad will be set up for Summer use
  • New exterior Splash pad equipment has been installed and is being commissioned. Opening Summer 2024
  • New exterior south exit stair and ramp construction is in progress
    • South exit doors leading to sun deck are RESERVED for EMERGENCY EXITING ONLY
  • Finished landscaping on the north and south sides are complete
