Responsibilities:
- Implements a comprehensive general interest or specialty program. Program Areas for this position include:
- Recreation attendants
- Drop-in sports
- Youth outreach
- Recreational Skating (Indoor & Outdoor) - Sets-up and takes down equipment.
- Tracks attendance and/or takes payment as required.
- Ensures compliance with all rules & regulations.
- Ensures the supervision, safety & wellbeing of participants.
- May act as a referee or score keeper as required.
- Excellent customer services skills with the ability to remain calm during difficult situations and resolve conflicts tactfully.
- Documents and communicates any incident/accidents that occur to the Community Centre Lead.
Qualifications and requirements
- Current holder of Standard First Aid/CPR-C
- Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Experience with relevant program area preferred
