Responsibilities:

  1. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor the Front of House Lead is responsible for ensuring the safety of audiences and delivery of exceptional customer service experiences to all City Playhouse Theatre patrons.
  2. FOH Lead trains, supervises and supports a team of ushers providing them with show instructions as well as ensuring they have the tools needed to perform their job. (scanners, flashlights etc.)
  3. Maintain the appearance of the lobby and communicates with maintenance staff as necessary to ensure a clean environment
  4. Responsible for the delivery of the pre-show message in the lobby.
  5. Resolve conflict with any patron issues including ticketing, lost items etc.
  6. Work with concession seller to reconcile inventory and sales reports.
  7. Provide leadership in emergency situations, including fire alarm and inclement weather warnings.
  8. Completes and distributes a house report for each performance.

Qualifications and requirements

  1. At least 2-3 years in a client-driven supervisory role.
  2. Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
  3. Excellent communication skills and confident in public speaking.
  4. Demonstrated strong organizational and leadership skills
  5. Work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  6. Practical knowledge of theatre environment considered an asses
  7. Smart Serve Certification is an asset
  8. Valid Standard First Aid & CPR‐C certification from a WSIB‐approved first aid provider; must maintain certifications on an ongoing basis; at own expense.
