City to host Challenge and Jubilee Trophy competitions from Oct. 5 to 10

 

Get ready, soccer fans – Canada Soccer’s 2022 Toyota National Championships are coming to Vaughan! The City of Vaughan was selected by Canada Soccer as a host municipality for the 2022 Toyota National Championships, the largest amateur team sport competition in Canada. The Jubilee and Challenge Trophy competitions will be held in Vaughan from Wednesday, Oct. 5 to Monday, Oct. 10, 2022 – and you're invited to come watch the games live!

This coveted national sports competition provides an opportunity to highlight the talent produced in the city while showcasing Vaughan's soccer pride. With one of the highest soccer participation rates in the country, Vaughan is home to three FIFA-certified artificial turf soccer fields, including two at the 900-acre North Maple Regional Park (NMRP), the City's most significant park development. The final championships will be held at NMRP (located at 11085 Keele St.) and Vaughan Grove Sports Park (located at 7401 Martin Grove Rd.).

The Canada Soccer 2022 Toyota National Championships Jubilee and Challenge Trophy competitions are supported in Vaughan by various partners, including Tourism Vaughan, Central Counties Tourism, Vaughan Mills Shopping Centre, Salerno Realty, LiUNA! Local 183, Dave & Buster's and the Government of Ontario.
