There is still time to sign up for the City of Vaughan’s in-person summer camps. Kids can have a fun-filled summer of creating, learning and enjoying the outdoors! Spots are filling up fast and pre-registration is required. Registration is available at vaughan.perfectmind.com.

The City’s summer camps are open for children and youth ages four to 17 years old during July and August. Camps will consist of one- and two-week sessions at community centres, heritage homes and green spaces throughout Vaughan, with the exception of Garnet A. Williams Community Centre as it remains closed for renovations.

Programming will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily with flexible drop-off times available from 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. and pickup between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Flex drop-off and pick-up options are not available at the City Playhouse Theatre or for any half-day camp.

There are more than 40 unique camp options to choose from, with categories such as creative, culinary and performing arts, enrichment, recreation, sports, outdoor and water adventures. This year’s camp highlights include:

  • Dance with ballet, jazz and hip hop, featuring a recital
  • Educational camps to prevent summer learning loss
  • Mixed media art with an end-of-session gallery exhibition
  • Eco-leadership camps at parks (hiking trails and building eco-shelters)
