Vaughan Fire to participate in police-led simulation in the area of Jane Street and Major Mackenzie Drive


Vaughan Fire and Rescue Service (VFRS) is dedicated to providing efficient emergency response and fire protection, prevention, safety and education to those who live, work and visit the city. As part of their ongoing training, VFRS will participate in a planned, co-ordinated, police-led exercise in the area of Jane Street and Major Mackenzie Drive on Tuesday, April 25 starting at 8 a.m.

 

The emergency exercise will include York Regional Police, Toronto Police, Durham Police and York Regional Paramedic Service.

 

Residents are advised that there will be a large police and first responder presence. You may see flashing lights, many uniformed first responders and a helicopter over the immediate vicinity. There will be no risk to the public.
