Facility closures in Vaughan this Thanksgiving
The
changing of the leaves and crisp autumn weather marks a season full of
delicious Thanksgiving dinners, warm turtleneck sweaters and pumpkin spice
lattes.
There
are many family-friendly activities to enjoy this holiday, but before making
any plans, be sure to check our facility closures:
- The City of Vaughan municipal offices, including Vaughan City Hall and the Joint Operations Centre, will be closed for Thanksgiving on Monday, Oct. 10. Offices will reopen on Tuesday, Oct. 11.
- Vaughan Animal Services and community centres will be closed on Monday, Oct. 10.
- Vaughan Public Libraries will be closed on Sunday, Oct. 9 and Monday, Oct. 10.
- Waste collection will not be affected and will continue as regularly scheduled.
Whether
you are spending the weekend with friends and family or planning on getting
outdoors, there’s a lot to do in Vaughan:
- Challenge the kids to find the most colourful leaves at the Kortright Centre for Conservation or at the Boyd Conservation Area.
- Visit a local park or playground to make the most of the play equipment before the snow comes.
- Plan a visit to the McMichael Art Gallery which offers indoor and outdoor works of art.
