Fitness centres

Vaughan fitness centres are operating under the guidance of public health authorities. This includes controlled access, capacity limits of up to 50 per cent where physical distancing permits, scheduled 75-minute workout time blocks and a 15-minute shutdown in between appointments for cleaning and sanitization. Showers and day locker use are available during the 75-minute workout time block; use of these amenities must be factored into the allotted booking time.

All fitness centres are open with the exception of Garnet A. Williams Community Centre, which remains closed while renovations are underway. Members of Garnet A. Williams Community Centre can exercise nearby at a temporary fitness facility secured by the City in the plaza behind Promenade Mall at 7700 Bathurst St., Unit 1. The Maple fitness centre will re-open once the COVID-19 vaccination clinic closes, with timelines to be determined by York Region Public Health.

Members can register for a workout four days and two hours in advance. For further details, visit vaughan.ca/fitness.
