City of Vaughan
Provide input on a variety of city-building initiatives

As one of the fastest-growing cities in Canada, the city of Vaughan is rapidly changing – and you can have a say in its transformation. The City understands that public consultation is a vital part of the city-building process. This is why teams across the organization work to provide public engagement opportunities for citizens. Input collected is used to help inform municipal decisions and shape the future of Vaughan.

Bartley Smith Greenway Trail Feasibility Study
You can have a say on how the City should close a three-kilometre gap in the Bartley Smith Greenway Trail between McNaughton Road and Rutherford Road. Public feedback to date has helped identify trail route options and road crossings – and now as the study progresses, citizens are invited to attend a virtual Open House on Thursday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. to review work completed to date, learn about the proposed trail route, provide feedback and more. Visit vaughan.ca/BartleySmithTrail to register to attend.

Official Plan Review: Survey
What kind of city do you want Vaughan to be in 30 years? What are your priorities for Vaughan’s future? What does a complete community look like to you? How can Vaughan be more sustainable? The City of Vaughan’s Official Plan Review will guide the community’s growth into 2051 – and you can help shape it.  As the review progresses, an online Vision Survey is now available for public input until March 16, 2022. The survey asks citizens to identify priorities and share their ideas and hopes for Vaughan’s future. Feedback received will help shape the development of a community-based vision and guiding principles for the updated Vaughan Official Plan. Get started at vaughan.ca/OPR.

Traffic and Speed Management Study
The City of Vaughan’s Traffic and Speed Management Study in the Athabasca community is underway – and you can once again get involved. Through a previous survey, residents helped inform the traffic and speed mitigation options for the area. Now, the community is invited to attend a virtual Public Information Session on Thursday, March 3 at 7 p.m. Participants will view a presentation, learn about findings collected to date, understand next steps and provide input. Visit vaughan.ca/TrafficSpeedStudy to register and submit questions in advance.

Did you recently have your say?
As engagement opportunities continue, the City has launched an Engagement Feedback Survey to collect input on Vaughan’s engagement practices – what project did you get involved in? How did you participate? How was your experience? Were you informed? Did you feel listened to? Complete the online survey to provide input into how the City can make its engagement process even better. The survey will be open throughout 2022 and can be accessed through vaughan.ca/HaveYourSay.
