City of Vaughan
There are many ways to have a say, including at a virtual open house, live discussion and more

How can the City help you drive less? What other transportation options would you like to see in Vaughan? The City of Vaughan is working to advance its transportation network and your input is needed – share what programs and infrastructure should be prioritized in the Vaughan Transportation Plan. There are multiple ways to have your say, including participating in an online, self-guided Public Open House, joining a live discussion or emailing the project team.

Vaughan is a dynamic city and is growing quickly. Since the City’s first transportation plan was completed in 2012, much has changed with respect to traffic and transportation. The City has been working to update its Vaughan Transportation Plan to provide a long-term outlook and identify projects that will offer a greater range of options to reduce the number of vehicles on the road. The vision is to provide high-quality, attractive, competitive and sustainable mobility choices for all who live, work and travel to and through Vaughan. Public input is vital to achieving this vision.

Through previous methods of public engagement, the project team has studied Vaughan’s existing conditions and asked you about your current travel behaviours – including walking, cycling and driving – to collect ideas for improving mobility choices within Vaughan. As the project progresses, your input is once again requested to help answer questions, such as:
  • How can the City help you travel differently throughout Vaughan?
  • Do you have any suggestions to help improve transportation?
  • What transportation priorities are important to you?

Here are ways you can share your thoughts:

Take part in an online, self-guided Public Open House
An online, self-guided Public Open House is available now until Friday, April 29 at vaughan.ca/TransportationPlan. By participating, you will be able to read background information, key findings and policy directions, review proposed plans for the recommended future transportation network and understand the draft implementation plan. Materials are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can provide input directly, at your convenience, by responding to the survey questions.

Join the live virtual discussion
On Tuesday, April 19 at 7 p.m., a live virtual discussion will be hosted via Webex for attendees to learn more about the updated plan and work completed to date – a live question-and-answer period will follow the initial presentation.
