Attend a virtual Public Information Session to provide input

The City of Vaughan is committed to enhancing its communities, including Old Maple, for generations to come. Necessary infrastructure upgrades are planned for the area, including an aging watermain replacement as well as storm sewer and road reconstruction. You can join the conversation before work begins. Two virtual Public Information Sessions are being hosted in February – attend to get involved and learn more about the project, timelines and impact on the community.

Beginning this spring as part of the City of Vaughan’s 2021 capital program, the following work will take place on the following roads:
  • Watermain and road reconstruction: to impact Bevan Road, Clemson Crescent, Gosling Road, Jackson Street, Lancer Drive, Malaren Road, Mexico Road, Naylon Street, Netherford Road, Oldfield Street, Ryder Road, Weller Crescent and Welton Street.
  • Watermain, storm and road reconstruction: to take place on Church Street and Gram Street
  • Road reconstruction: to affect Goodman Crescent and Merino Road
Work is anticipated to be completed by summer 2022.

Public input is vital to the success of this project. You can get involved, learn more and provide feedback by attending one of two virtual Public Information Sessions on Wednesday, Feb. 3 or Thursday, Feb. 4. Citizens will have the opportunity to view project information – including maps, plans, drawings and schedules – share thoughts to City staff, and ask questions about traffic impacts and access to properties. Both sessions will begin at 6 p.m. and present the same information. To register, send your name and email address to OldMapleTeam@morrisonhershfield.com and identify which session you will be participating in. The link to join your preferred session will be sent in advance of the meeting.

For those not able to participate in the sessions, the digital presentation and all related materials will be posted on vaughan.ca as of Feb. 3.

By investing in infrastructure renewal projects like this one, the City demonstrates its continued commitment to maintaining its existing infrastructure, enhancing Vaughan’s future and embracing sustainable growth. Further, these projects are also aligned with the recently approved citizen-focused 2021 Budget and 2022 Financial Plan, and support and advance the 2018-2022 Term of Council Service Excellence Strategic Plan.
