The City is hosting virtual hiring events for full-time
summer camp specialists and counsellors
Winter can be long and many of us can’t wait to enjoy the warm
weather of summer. The City of Vaughan is already preparing for a fun-filled
July and August by hiring summer camp specialists and counsellors to work full
time hours.
The Recreation Services
department is looking for “CAMPassionate” people to mentor children and youth
at Vaughan summer camps. Summer camps are
located across the city at
community centres, heritage homes, greenspaces, the City Playhouse Theatre and
the new Vaughan Studios & Event Space. Camps run for one- or two-week
sessions, starting Tuesday, July 4 to Friday, Sept. 1. Full attendance at
pre-camp training is required.

Compensation: $15.90
per hour
Virtual hiring event for summer camp counsellors
Saturday, March 18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Deadline to register:
Friday, March 10
Compensation: $15.50
per hour
If you have expertise in the following areas, you are encouraged to
apply:
- Arts: painting, drawing, pottery, photography
- Cooking and baking
- Fitness
- Nature and the environment
- Singing, acting, dancing, drama
- Sports: archery, ball hockey, basketball, gymnastics, skateboarding, tennis, badminton, pickleball, squash
- STEM
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Minimum 16 years of age
- Social Insurance Number
- Specialty certifications where required
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check
