Labour Day holiday closures

Municipal offices and
facilities closed on Monday, Sept. 2
Please be advised of
the following City of Vaughan facility closures, alternate hours and changes in
programming for the Labour Day statutory holiday on Monday, Sept. 2.
Municipal facilities
City offices at Vaughan
City Hall and the Joint Operations Centre will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2. Municipal
facilities will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Community centres and recreational programming
All City community centres will be
closed on Monday, Sept. 2. To view weekend hours and programming at each
community centre, visit the Holiday Central page at vaughan.ca/recreation.
Splashpads and
water play parks will be open. After Labour Day, these areas will be open on
weekends only until Sunday, Oct. 13.
Thornhill Outdoor Pool, located at 28 Centre
St., will be open on Monday, Sept. 2 for aquafitness, length swim, recreational
swims and parent and tot swim. View the schedule at vaughan.ca/swim.
The Great Walks of
Vaughan nature trails and community walks are open to explore. Visit vaughan.ca/GreatWalks for additional
information, including maps, locations, distances, scavenger hunt tools and
more.
Vaughan Animal Services
Vaughan Animal Services,
located at 70 Tigi Ct., will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2 and will reopen on Tuesday,

Vaughan Public Libraries
Vaughan Public
Libraries will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2. Feel free to explore the libraries’
digital service
offerings,
including eBooks, eAudiobooks, music, movies and more. For more information, visit

Waste collection
Waste collection will
not be affected and will continue as regularly scheduled for the week. Learn

Access Vaughan
The City’s contact
centre will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2. However, a live agent will be
available to respond to municipal emergencies. For additional information about
holiday hours, City programs and municipal services over the holiday weekend,
call Access Vaughan at 905-832-2281. Hours
of operation are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
