Attend the City’s latest business workshop series

The City’s Vaughan Business and Entrepreneurship Centre, in partnership with York University’s YSpace, is offering customized workshops to provide entrepreneurs and small business owners with the tools, skills and connections needed to launch and grow a business in the food and beverage industry.

The Launch and Grow Your Food Venture series kicked off earlier this week with Starting a Food and Beverage Business from a Founder’s Perspective, exploring the basics of getting a food-based business started. You can catch a recording of the workshop here. The series continues with a Digital Marketing 101 workshop on Thursday, June 22 from noon to 1:30 p.m., showcasing digital media strategies and tools available to attract customers and generate sales, and a Channel Strategies workshop on Tuesday, July 11 from noon to 1:30 p.m., sharing sales and channel strategies to help launch a food-based business.

An interactive Fireside Chat on Manufacturing and Production will conclude the series on Thursday, July 27 from noon to 1:30 p.m. The session will exhibit an entrepreneur’s journey and share manufacturing options, considerations and resources in Vaughan and other areas for your next food venture idea.

Entrepreneurs participating in this series have the opportunity to apply for up to $5,000 in provincial grant funding through the Starter Company Plus program, designed to help implement and execute the business plans created through this training series.
