Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua’s Annual Charity Golf Classic was an incredible success, raising thousands of dollars for not-for-profit and community organizations. A sold-out field of golfers teed up at the Copper Creek Golf Club in Vaughan for the annual event on
July 8.

The proceeds from this annual event go to support the many community groups that provide essential services to the residents of Vaughan. Fundraising events such as the Mayor’s Gala and Mayor’s Golf Classic raise awareness about much-needed funding and services for community organizations and offer our corporate stakeholders opportunities to showcase their contributions to worthy causes.

Inspired by compassion, generosity and community spirit, the proceeds from this event go to support the many organizations that make a difference in the lives of thousands of people in our City every day. This has been my vision from the beginning and this is what I believe city building is all about – our ability to come together with the purpose of creating a community that is vibrant, dynamic and inclusive. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their continued support in making this golf tournament an overwhelming success. I also want to thank PowerStream President and CEO Brian Bentz for once again lending his leadership and commitment to the role of tournament chair.”
