O Christmas tree!
Tune in to Vaughan’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting
Ceremony on Friday, Dec. 3
Each December, the City of Vaughan brings the community together for
the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. This year, the City invites
everyone to tune in virtually on Friday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m. to vaughan.ca/festive to see the tree in the
courtyard of City Hall come to life!
During the ceremony,
Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council will extend greetings and
countdown to light up the tree. Community events, such as the annual Christmas
Tree Lighting Ceremony, provide an opportunity for everyone to celebrate the
festive season, foster community togetherness and experience Vaughan’s unique
diversity.
This year, the tree in
the City Hall courtyard is a 36-feet tall Colorado Blue Spruce from Drysdale’s
Tree Farm in Egbert, Ontario and will shine bright with 35,000 LED lights.
