Have your say by Nov. 19!

There’s just one week left to share your thoughts on the City of Vaughan’s programs and services! Residents and business owners are invited to complete the Citizen and Business Surveys, which close on Tuesday, Nov. 19. Your feedback is essential to helping us understand what’s working well and where we can improve, so we can continue to serve you better.

Here's everything you need to know:

Citizen Survey

Did you receive a survey invite in the mail? Twenty-thousand Vaughan households were randomly selected to receive an invitation in the mail to complete the 2024 Citizen Survey. Invites were issued in mid-October. Each invitation includes a link and unique access code, ensuring residents can only participate in the survey online once. A 1-800 number is provided for those who prefer to complete the survey by phone or require an alternate format. The mail-to-online methodology is a growing best practice that produces better response rates and offers all households an equal chance of inclusion in the research.

If you did not receive a mailed invitation or misplaced it, you can still participate! A separate version of the survey is available at vaughan.ca/CitizenSurvey until Tuesday, Nov. 19. This survey is open to everyone – you do not need an access code. Contact accessibility@vaughan.ca if you require an alternate format to complete this survey.

The results from this survey will help ensure the City continues to offer a range of programs and services to meet the needs of the growing community and empower Vaughan Council and the administration to prioritize solutions that improve municipal service delivery. Your responses will also determine how the City shares important updates to keep you informed and maintains the exceptional quality of life and standard of living in Vaughan.

The survey results will be published at vaughan.ca/CitizenSurvey after they have been analyzed and reported on.

Business Survey

The City has also launched the 2024 Business Survey to understand the values and perceptions of local businesses on the economic climate, challenges and opportunities, as well as their overall satisfaction with the delivery of programs and services to support Vaughan’s economic growth and development.

The Business Survey is being administered to 350 randomly selected businesses of various sizes and industries. It is being conducted through a mixed-method approach using telephone interviews and mail-to-online surveying.

If your business did not receive a call or mailed invitation, you can still complete the Business Survey online at vaughanbusiness.ca/BusinessSurveyuntil Tuesday, Nov. 19. Contact accessibility@vaughan.ca if you require an alternate format to complete this survey.

Vaughan’s business and job growth are fundamental to the city’s economic vitality. With more than 19,700 companies employing nearly 220,000 people, Vaughan’s economic base is the largest employment centre in York Region – both in terms of establishments and employment. The City’s Business Survey will help gauge whether local businesses are growing, declining or stagnating; understand planned investments and readiness for change; determine factors that influence business operations and growth, and more.
