Party like it’s 1999 at Concerts in the Park

Series kicks off with tribute to Prince and the Minneapolis Sound

Do you want to dance with somebody? Concerts in the Park are the perfect place for you and your family to twist and shout this summer. For 23 years, the City of Vaughan has been providing free live concerts. The performances take place from June to August on select Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m., weather permitting.
 
The first concert will be held at City Hall on June 14, with others planned in each of the five wards. Here is this year’s lineup:
 
  • June 14 – The Funk Frequency – Tribute to Prince and the Minneapolis Sound
    Vaughan City Hall, Courtyard, 2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.

  • June 21 – Bad Romance – Tribute to Lady Gaga
    Outdoor Amphitheatre, North Thornhill Community Centre, 300 Pleasant Ridge Ave.

  • July 5 – Boyz of Pop – Tribute to Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes and One Direction
    Sonoma Heights Community Park, 100 Sunset Ridge

  • July 12 – Abbamania – Tribute to ABBA
    Chancellor District Park, 430 Chancellor Dr.

  • July 19 – Hot Rocks – Tribute to the Rolling Stones
    Mackenzie Glen District Park, 220 Cranston Park Ave.

  • Aug. 2 – Soular
    York Hill District Park, 501 Clark Ave. W.
