City park amenities and trails remain open


Parks, sports fields, courts, trails – the fun doesn’t stop in Vaughan when the seasons change! As summer turns into fall, embrace the crisp, cool air on the way and spend your free time outdoors in the community. The City of Vaughan’s PlayVaughanLocal webpage has all you need to plan your next adventure.

To help get you started, below are many fun outdoor activities residents of all ages can enjoy.

Park amenities

The City’s parks have so much to offer, including:

  • baseball fields
  • basketball courts
  • bocce courts
  • off-leash dog park
  • outdoor exercise equipment
  • playgrounds 
  • skateboard parks
  • soccer fields
  • splashpads – open weekends only until Monday, Oct. 4
  • tennis and pickleball courts
  • volleyball courts

Trails and neighbourhood walks

Watch the leaves change at any of Vaughan’s trails and neighbourhood walks. Choose from 12 different trails throughout the city: Jersey Creek Neighbourhood Walk, Mackenzie Glen Neighbourhood Walk, Maple Nature Reserve Nature Walk, Marita Payne Neighbourhood Walk, North Maple Regional Park Nature Walk, Peter Rupert Neighbourhood Walk, Rainbow Creek Neighbourhood Walk, Riverwalk Neighbourhood Walk, Sonoma Heights Neighbourhood Walk, Sugarbush Nature Walk, Vellore Neighbourhood Walk and William Granger Greenway Nature Walk. There are trails for all ages, abilities and comfort levels.
