COVID-19 Updates

Program
and event cancellations also remain in effect until further notice in response
to COVID-19
While
the City of Vaughan continues to respond to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the
health and safety of citizens and staff remains the priority. As a result, the
decision has been made to extend the closure of all City facilities to the
public until further notice to help break the chain of transmission.
The
following City facility closures and cancellations remain in effect until
further notice:
- Vaughan City Hall
- Joint Operations Centre
- All library branches, community centres, swimming pools, arenas and fitness facilities
- All community centre permits/rentals, and recreational and library programming
- Facilities in parks, including playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts, benches and sports fields
- All Council committees and task force meetings (except for Council and Committee of the Whole)
- Vaughan Animal Shelter
- City Playhouse Theatre
- Tours at Fire Stations
- All City-run events
The
following services continue to operate:
- Fire and emergency response
- Waste collection
- Winter maintenance operations
- Water/wastewater services
- By-law and Compliance, Licensing and Permit Services enforcement services

- Economic and Cultural Development department frontline services via telephone, teleconference or online
- Vaughan Public Libraries online services at vaughanpl.info
