Resident recognized for community involvement
Ward 3 Civic Hero Award presented to Elvira Caria
The Ward 3 Civic Hero Award was presented to Elvira Caria by Vaughan Council today. Ms. Caria was recognized for 15 years of volunteerism, leadership and advocacy in the community.
A longtime resident, Ms. Caria has been involved with the Vellore Woods Ratepayers’ Association for 15 years, serving as its chair. She has worked with residents and Vaughan Council on a variety of local issues while at the same time volunteering her time for a number of not-for-profit organizations.
