Resident recognized for efforts to preserve the City's natural heritage
Ward 1 Civic Hero Award presented to David Brand
David Brand has been advocating for the preservation of Vaughan’s natural heritage sites for many years. In recognition of his efforts to strengthen the community and make Vaughan a great place to live, he was presented with the Civic Hero Award for Ward 1 by Vaughan Council today.
An active member of the Kleinburg community, Brand has devoted many hours of his time to a number of organizations including the Off-leash Dog Park Committee, GTA West Community Advisory Group, Kleinburg Area Ratepayers’ Association, Humber Valley Heritage Trail Association (treasurer of the Kleinburg chapter), Nashville Conservation Reserve Stewardship Committee and Binder Twine volunteer.
