Resident Recognized For Efforts to Raise Awareness About Celiac Disease
Ward 4 Civic Hero Award Presented To Lisa Cantkier
Lisa Cantkier’s mission in life has been to help adults and children with celiac disease live a normal life. As a holistic nutritionist, educator and writer specializing in food allergies and intolerance, she has worked to educate and help people manage their diets and has established an award-winning website, GlutenFreeFind.com.
In recognition of her efforts and her volunteer work, the Civic Hero Award for Ward 4 was presented to Cantkier by Vaughan Council last evening. In addition to her nutrition work, Cantkier also volunteers at local schools and coaches her son’s soccer team.
