Parking is not allowed on any of the hospital’s surrounding
streets – this is especially critical for Frederick Banting Street, Vaughan
Healthcare Circle, Wellness Way, Darvish Drive and Observation Avenue, to allow
for efficient hospital operations. These restrictions are in line with best
practices and will help maintain traffic flow and manage road congestion and
improve road maintenance operations, especially during poor weather and
snowplowing.
Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital has approximately 1,800
parking spaces available in surface parking lots and a four-level parking
structure. Drop-off for patients with appointments and essential visitors is
available on the south side of the parking structure on Wellness Way.
The City’s parking regulations help to ensure the safety of
streets and walkways and support effective traffic flow. To report a parking
violation, contact Access Vaughan at 905-832-2281 or accessvaughan@vaughan.ca.
At this time, the hospital has opened ICU and medicine beds
only to help address capacity pressures in the province as a result of the
surge in COVID-19 cases. During this phase, the Emergency Department is closed.
