Residents Invited to Review Updated Plan For Parks, Recreation and Library Services

April 24, 2013

The City of Vaughan is hosting a public information session at Vaughan City Hall on Monday, April 29 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. to review the proposed updates to the Active Together Master Plan for existing parks, recreation and library facilities and future needs in Vaughan.

The updates are based on research and analysis done in 2012 as well as community input collected during public information sessions. The City worked in collaboration with the urban and regional planning firm Monteith Brown Planning Consultants to update the plan.

The Active Together Master Plan Update will ensure the City’s services and facilities are sustainable and meet the needs of residents now and in the future by identifying community requirements up to 2031 and beyond. The plan was last amended in 2008.
