Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council recognized 57 outstanding volunteers at an awards ceremony held at Vaughan City Hall on April 24 as part of National Volunteer Week.

Earlier this year, the City’s non-profit and community organizations were invited to nominate an individual whose passion and actions made a positive impact in the community. Family and friends attended the special event as the award recipients received a Volunteer Recognition Certificate and lapel pin from Mayor Bevilacqua.
National Volunteer Week takes place annually in April and pays tribute to the millions of Canadian volunteers who donate their time and energy. For more information about Vaughan’s Volunteer Recognition  Program email volunteerrecognition@vaughan.ca.
